Programs & Initiatives

Programs that move deals, not just conversations.

Everything the chapter runs is designed around one test: does it bring a member measurably closer to doing business between the United States and Africa.

Core programs

Four ways we put the bridge to work.

Trade missions & delegations

Organized, chamber-backed visits that put members in-market with the right meetings already on the calendar. Missions travel in both directions: Atlanta members into African markets, and African partners into Atlanta.

Sector working groups

Standing member groups organized around our seven priority sectors. Each group shares market intelligence, hosts its own roundtables, and surfaces the deals its members should see first.

Market-entry advisory

Practical guidance for members entering a new market: reading regulation, structuring partnerships, moving money, and finding counterparties you can trust. Delivered by members who have done it before.

Policy & advocacy

A collective voice on the trade frameworks that shape our members' opportunities, from AGOA's preferential access to the AfCFTA single market, carried to the officials and institutions who need to hear it.

Working groups

Organized around seven sectors.

Every member gets a seat in the working group closest to their business. Groups concentrate where Atlanta's strengths meet Africa's fastest-moving markets.

Agribusiness

From farm inputs to food processing and export, connecting growers, buyers, and capital.

Energy & Climate

Renewables, grid, and climate-smart infrastructure for the continent's energy transition.

Finance & Fintech

Cross-border payments, capital access, and the fintech reshaping African commerce.

Health

Pharma, medical supply chains, and health systems linking U.S. expertise with African demand.

ICT & Cybersecurity

Software, connectivity, and the digital backbone of Africa's growing economies.

Trade & Investment

Direct introductions to partners and investors, plus the guidance to close deals.

Creative Industries

Film, music, fashion, and design, where African culture meets global markets.

Built with members

Programs start with a member raising a hand.

Trade missions get organized because members name the market they need to be in. Working groups form around the sectors members actually work in. If the chapter should be running something it is not, the fastest way to change that is to join and say so.
